Your local pro, one search away.
Homa is a local-services marketplace that connects homeowners with trusted plumbers, electricians and handyfolk nearby. We built the whole product, from the brand and a clean sky-blue UI to the native iOS and Android app.

Find, trust, hire.
Finding a reliable local tradesperson is still a word-of-mouth lottery for most people. Homa wanted to change that: a location-first marketplace where every pro has verified credentials, real reviews and a clear hourly rate, and where booking one is as simple as a search and a tap.
Make hiring a pro as easy as ordering a taxi.
The look is open and trustworthy: a clean white canvas, one confident sky-blue, generous photography of real workers and real homes. We ran it from naming and brand through to the shipped native build on both platforms.
- P1Trust was the blocker. People wouldn’t book a stranger from a list. The pro profile had to do the heavy lifting: photo, credentials, real reviews and a transparent rate.
- P2Discovery was too generic. Users knew the category (Plumber, Electrician) but not who to pick. A location-aware grid of nearby pros had to surface the right person fast.
- P3Getting started felt like a commitment. The onboarding had to promise a seamless, transparent experience and get users to the map in one tap.
Three screens, one trusted hire.
An onboarding that sets the promise, a discovery feed that finds the right pro nearby, and a profile that closes the deal.

Set the promise first.
The opening screen is all confidence: a full-bleed photo of a real tradesperson over a soft blue-gradient map, the app name in white, and two lines of plain copy — “Browse local service. Enjoy a seamless and transparent experience.” One solid blue Get Started button and a swipe-dot indicator. No sign-up wall.
- Real tradesperson photography over a live map backdrop
- One promise, one button — zero friction to entry
- Dot indicators hint at a swipeable value-proposition carousel

Find the right pro, nearby.
Home opens on the user’s location, a bell for notifications, and a prominent Search service here… bar. Below sit five category chips — House, Electricity, Handcraft, Plumber, More — then a Near on you card grid: photo, name, trade, rating and hourly rate, all in one scannable tile.
- Location-aware header with live “My Location” label
- Five category icons for instant genre-first browsing
- Cards show photo, trade, star rating and $ / hr at a glance

Build trust, then seal it.
The profile opens on a full-bleed work photo with the pro’s headshot inset, then name, trade and years of experience. An About me paragraph, a five-star review with a real quote, and the hourly rate are all visible before the user has to scroll. One blue Hire Syeila button anchors the bottom.
- Hero work photo + inset headshot build instant human trust
- Credentials, bio, star reviews and rate above the fold
- A single named Hire CTA to close the decision confidently
Welcome, discover, hire.
All three screens together — from the first promise to the pro you’ve decided to bring home.

Clean, open, repeatable.
Everything ships as named tokens and reusable components, so the Homa team can add chat, scheduling or a new service category without redrawing a screen.
One sky blue carries every CTA, active tab and category icon; everything else is white, generous padding and real photography. Cards, chips and buttons share a single large corner radius for a consistently approachable feel.
An italic serif marks brand moments and section accents while a clean, geometric sans handles all the product copy — approachable and legible at every size.

What it delivered.
Across both stores in its first weeks. Users highlighted how easy it was to find and trust a local pro.
From opening the app to tapping Hire, the entire flow takes fewer than three deliberate actions.
House, Electricity, Handcraft, Plumber and More — built on a system the team keeps extending.
We needed people to trust a stranger enough to let them into their home. Siznex gave us something that looks professional and earns confidence fast, and a system we keep building on.
